Today

Taking a lead from my friend, Stephanie...

Outside my window...  the sun is shining and I hear Eric busily working in the driveway on his truck.

I am thinking... about my Papa.  On March 28th, I lost the man who has always been my biggest angel here on Earth.  His passing, along with the health of my Grandma (and Papa's wife of 61 years) that took a unexpected turn for the worse less than three weeks following his death, has heavily played into my lack of blogging.  Together, the two of them are never far from my thoughts.

I am thankful... for Eric's day off today.  I am relieved that the outage he has been working the past 6 weeks (give or take) has come to an end.

In the kitchen... is a fresh pot of coffee.  Is it sad I have come to enjoy my afternoon cup of coffee more than my morning cup?

I am wearing... pj bottoms and one of Eric's t-shirts.

I am creating... lists for our upcoming camping trip.

I am going... crazy as I deal with Ryder's current fits.

I am reading... Are You There, Vodka?  It's Me, Chelsea.  This morning I finished Certain Girls by Jennifer  Weiner (FANTASTIC).

I am hoping... that tonight's grocery shopping trip with the hubby and kids is uneventful.

I am looking forward to... this Sunday's boating trip.  Our first of the season!

I am learning... that I actually enjoy mowing the lawn (shhhh...mum is the word to Eric).

Around the house... is chaos (with the exception of the kitchen and our bedroom).  It's how we live, people!

I am pondering... how many outfits I need to pack for each boy for our upcoming 8 night camping trip.

A favorite quote for today... "I'll Love you forever.  I'll like you for always.  As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."

One of my favorite things... is my Kindle Fire.

A few plans for the rest of the week... taking to the ball diamond with my T-Ball team (the Little Sluggers) tomorrow morning.  I am GREATLY looking forward to "date night" (aka trip shopping and hopefully dinner out) tomorrow night.

A peek into my day...
