Thursday Thoughts...

  • I am 100% over this cold, wet, nasty weather that seems to keep finding it's way back to us.  Next week is Spring Break and this weather is not very Springy!
  • After Eric's shift today, he is on his scheduled 7 days off.  We are planning on painting the kitchen this weekend.  I can hardly wait for the change, but the thought of actually painting...ugh!

Here is a peek at what will be going on in our kitchen.  When we moved into our house (almost 8 years ago), the kitchen was the first room we painted.  Ruby Red Lipstick.  The color, along with my Home & Garden Party Apple Pottery pieces made me smile for a number of years.  Now, it is time for a change!  I picked up some fun pieces for my new kitchen during my recent trip to Ikea.  Eeeekk!  I cannot wait for the end result!

  • I scheduled Hudson's surgery this week.  April 18th is the big day and (as I already knew going in) he cannot have anything to eat or drink after midnight.  In the upcoming weeks, we have to push ourselves to break him of his nighttime feedings.  I am dreading this...
  • Let the chaos of having two children in two different sports begin (again)!  Parker began Spring Flag Football this week and likewise Garrett started Spring Soccer.  In addition, Mommy is now helping out as Assistant Soccer Coach.  With two bitties and Eric's rotating 12hr shifts, I am uncertain how we will make this all work.  However, we WILL make it work.  I keep telling myself one week at a time and remain thankful for our parents living close by.  The next few months are going to be C-R-A-Z-Y busy!
  • I (finally) found a photographer whose work I like to take our family photos.  The big day is in June and I am already obsessing over what we should all wear and our outdoor location.  The last time we had professional family photos taken Parker was 4 months old (no joke!!!!).  We have very few family photos.  Period.  Mama is always behind the camera.  I am giddy just thinking about our session in June!
  • Ryder's 3rd Birthday will be here before I know it.  I LOVE his Spring birthday (outside party...woohoo!).  Together, Ryder and I have went back and forth...around in circles...here, there, and everywhere in between deciding on a theme.  Choo-Choo trains is the winner and there is NO turning back (ahem, Ryder!).  I have started making decorations (which I swore I was not going to do considering our current schedule) and Ryder is excited about his upcoming party.  Wasn't it just yesterday we were throwing his Melmo Monet?!!!

Happy Thursday!  Stay warm, readers!!!
