Our
new four year old is tucked into his bed for the night. I am not claiming he is sound asleep, but he is
in bed. Overall, I think Garrett had a great birthday. We started off the morning with his favorite...pancakes and sausage. Soon thereafter, Garrett, Parker, and Eric played with new Lego sets. For lunch he dined on mac-n-cheese (one of his favorites). Originally, we were planning on a trip to the zoo to see the Christmas lights. However, the kiddos are not feeling their finest and it is rather chilly. At the birthday boy's request we went sledding after nap time. The boys had so much fun (pictures to come). We ended our day with Baked Spaghetti and Breadsticks from Pizza Hut (again, Garrett's request)...worked for me (I am so over cooking right now). Last week, Garrett requested Kitty Cat cupcakes (he is obsessed with kitty cats right now). This is what I came up with...
I cannot begin to tell you how many times he thanked me
for his cupcakes and how much he loved them!
Those of you who really "know" Garrett understand
this photo is SO him!
After a quick bath for all of the boys, Garrett opened up his remaining presents from us. Earlier in the day he opened up brand new Spiderman snow boots (needed for sledding) and a Dragon Webkinz that Parker picked out. It is tough shopping for him when his birthday is so close to Christmas; however, we also purchased him a few add-ons for his Imaginext toy sets, new PJ's, a Thermos brand "water bottle", and a blue toy dirt bike (after 5 Christmas celebrations of him proclaiming he did not get one). I try to mix toy gifts with practical gifts. He was a happy little guy. We are having family over for a small party on New Years Eve...stay tuned!
