I Scream...You Scream...We All Scream "It's Garrett Birthday"!!!!

Yesterday, Garrett celebrated his 3rd Birthday with an Ice Cream theme party surrounded by family and friends. After a late lunch (or early dinner) of homemade chicken noodle soup and vegetable soup we all indulged in some "goodies". We set up an Ice Cream Sundae Bar for all to enjoy and had cake and cupcakes as well. The kiddos had a blast coloring, playing with balloons, and running around the hall like the crazies they are;)

In true Garrett fashion there were a few "surprises" as well. With each gift he opened I requested he thank the "giver". He obliged with the first few presents and then replied "No, thank you". Laughter erupted from the party-goers which in turn upset Garrett (typically, he is not a fan of people laughing at him..."Stop laughing at me, guys! It not funny!"). Poor Baby G ran into my arms and asked to go home. Luckily, we convinced him to stay.

Every year is a gamble as to what Garrett will say/do when we sing to him. His first birthday he cried...and cried...and cried. His second birthday he sat there with a scowl on his face and looked like he may cry. This year he threw himself to the floor...did a few "break dance" moves...stopped...and finally, looked at his personal cake. Mammy was holding his cake and simply followed him to floor. I am fairly certain it was one of the few times birthday cake has EVER been served on the floor. Case in point...you just never know with Garrett LOL!

No, I do not always let my baby play with balloons
It was a special occassion and he was supervised

Remember Cole from above?
This is his twin sister, Charli.
She is a little firecracker and was trying to get
some chocolate out of Leslie (I believe).

Thank you to everyone who made Garrett's party so special...we greatly appreciate it! We were blessed to have Eric's grandmother, GG Sammy (from Pittsburgh), with us as well. Glad you could make it, Sammy!
