Meet Spike

Hi, please meet Spike! As you can see Spike is pretty darn expensive! Spike is one of the NEW & HOT toys for the upcoming Holiday Season. Parker is in love with Spike. Parker currently refers to himself as "Spike" and stomps around our house on all fours. Parker "needs" (not to be confused with "wants") Spike. In turn, Garrett "needs" Spike as well....that is now 2 of Spike the Dinosaur that we "need" to buy. Please refer back to Spike's price tag.

We will not be buying one...let alone two of "Spike the Dinosaur". Yes, Spike is pretty darn cool. Yes, Spike is the HOT toy this season. Yes, Spike has a remote control. Yes, Spike would entertain my boys for a week (at best!).

The other night I explained to Parker that Spike is pretty expensive. I explained that "if" he was to receive Spike he would get very few additional gifts for Christmas. Again, please refer back to Spike's price tag. With his new information regarding Spike, Parker headed in a different direction. He headed in Mammy's direction. Mammy, please meet Spike! Mammy was impressed with Spike too...until Mammy heard of Spike's price tag.

Mammy suggested to Parker that he save his own money and purchase Spike himself in the future. Again, Parker was lead in a different direction. He needs a job! Okay little guy, you are a tad bit too young for a job. We can; however, discuss an allowance. Our discussion steered Parker in yet another direction. He proceeded to the refrigerator door where he promptly plucked one of his "masterpieces" from the door. Parker headed back in Mammy's direction (with said "masterpiece" in hand) and asked, "Hey, you want to buy one of my colored pictures from me?" Mammy laughed and asked, "How much for your artwork?" Parker responded with, "It will cost you ONE HUNDRED dollars!" Smart kid! He was able to squeeze a dollar out of Mammy. The following day he produced a LARGER drawing and charged his dad $2. Who knows...we just may be meeting Spike face to face in the near future! Anyone interested in some artwork;)
