We took Garrett in for his 18 month check up (2 months late due to switching insurance companies, scheduling conflicts, etc) this afternoon. Poor Baby G was not pleased during our visit. He resisted every "procedure"...standing on the scale, getting undressed, having his eyes/ears/etc. checked. In the past he has done well at the doctor's office, but today he was irritated with EVERYTHING having to do with his examination.
He received 2 immunizations (the last round until he begins Kindergarten)...WHEW! We do not think the actual shots bothered him all that much, but he was angry that he was forced to lie down (OK-so it took 2 nurses and both Eric and myself). Poor little guy!
Baby G is living up to his additional nicknames of "Tank" and "Haas". He currently weighs 34 pounds and is almost 37 inches tall! I looked back at what he weighed a year ago and discovered he has gained 11 pounds in the last year. Holy cow! At one glance you can tell he has a solid frame with lots of toddler muscles.
His next appointment is 4 months from now...shortly after his 2ND birthday. It is hard to believe my "baby" is turning 2 shortly:(
