We capped off Labor Day weekend with 2 BBQ's and a trip to the pool.

Earlier today we joined my mom and family at a park in the village of Walbridge for a delicious BBQ. Our boys (and Ashton-my brother's girlfriend's son) had fun on the playground equipment too.

Then we headed to the Walbridge Community Pool to splash around and cool off.




Garrett was the "star" of the pool today. All around us we could hear people talking about how cute he is, how much fun he was having, how much he loved the water, etc.

Parker loves riding on his daddy's back in the water and had a blast splashing around in the kiddie pool with Ashton (I will not lie-there was some fighting over toys too).

After a QUICK nap for the boys we headed to a BBQ with our good friends Dan/Lisa (and family) and Steve/Jenny (with a bun in the oven). Our three families were all tired and worn out, but enjoyed some good food and good conversation nonetheless.

WHEW...what a weekend! I would say we celebrated the last official weekend of the summer in grand style. I LOVE the final picture of Garrett in this post...I am referring to it as my "money shot" of the weekend...his face clearly captures the FUN we ALL had this weekend.
