Jam Packed Day

What a day! We met my Mom and Mark at Maumee Bay State Park in the early afternoon. We were hoping to let the boys swim, but unfortunately the bacteria levels were unsafe for swimming (not surprised with all of the rain).

Nonetheless we enjoyed a nice picnic lunch. Parker was fairly content to play in the sand and built a "dirtbike track" with Eric. Typically we have a difficult time keeping Garrett away from any form of water (small or large), but we repeated to him numerous times the water was "yucky". Poor little guy wanted to go in so badly and kept inching closer and closer to the water's edge.

Mom suggested we just head back to their town of Walbridge and take the boys to the community pool. I am so glad we did...they had a blast! Both boys were happy in the kiddie pool, but LOVED the "big" pool. Garrett has very little fear when it comes to water and Parker is gaining confidence in the water as well.

Both boys fell asleep on the car ride home and should sleep really well tonight! Enjoy some pictures from our day.
