My boys are growing (and fast)...today I was forced to see that.
I had "baby Ashley" (as Parker has lovingly deemed her) today while my friend Dawn was at work. I was holding Ashley when Eric brought the boys downstairs this morning and when I laid my eyes on Garrett (my baby) I could have swore he had sprouted two inches overnight. In comparison to Ashley Baby "G" really lives up to his other nickname of Baby Haas!
Once Dawn had picked up Ashley the four of us headed out grocery shopping and such. We were in the toddler section of KMart picking up some additional summer clothes for Parker when I realized that next summer we will standing in the BOYS section. He is sporting 5T shirts and sadly next year we move to sizes Extra Small, Small, Medium, Etc. The character shirts will change from Diego to that of Spongebob. I'm not ready!
We headed to Wal-Mart after KMart (seriously our "weekend" would not be complete without at least one trip to Wal-Mart) where Parker proclaimed he wanted "to walk" and "not ride". Eric and I obliged and allowed him to walk. He looked so little walking alongside the shopping cart (clutching Angel Bear), but yet acted so mature at the same time. He did not grab items from the shelf, run down the aisles, but behaved (OK-we were really proud)!
It has been difficult to witness so much growth in my boys during the course of one day. They are now sleeping soundly in their beds and I am wondering what changes tomorrow will bring?!
