It's the day after Easter...the bunny has hopped into our home-left baskets and treats for the boys-and hopped away. All of the Easter decor has been packed away and there are very few leftovers. The only signs of Easter are the few hard boiled eggs that remain, the HUGE container of candy (out of reach of prying little fingers), and some Easter grass that keeps sticking to the soles of our feet.
I think it is safe to say that Easter 2007 was a success! Together as a family we dyed eggs Saturday night and left them out for the Easter bunny. Parker and Garrett woke up to a note from the Bunny wishing them a Happy Easter and instucting them to follow the "clues" to find their baskets and goodies. After a series of 10 clues the boys discovered their baskets and Easter gifts...some candy, wheelbarrows, a hoe/shovel/rake set, watering cans, balls, a jump rope for Parker and a pull toy for Garrett. The pinwheels were a big hit with both boys and Parker insisted that Garrett was not interested in his candy (leaving Parker to eat it of course *eye roll*).
Later in the afternoon family gathered at our house for an early dinner, additional baskets, an egg hunt, and some planned activites for the kids that didn't go as expected! Happy Belated Easter from the Lindsay clan...we hope it was enjoyable for all of you!
